I’ll Make Me a World in Iowa, known for heating up January with Iowa’s African American Festival, delivers a strong line-up on January 25 and 26.  The 2019 Festival dominates January as the event to attend with a stellar line up of Celebrities and local performers.

Education Day, Free Admission

  • Friday January 25, 9AM – 2PM
  • Des Moines Iowa
  • For Middle & High School Students. A powerful Education Day featuring the Black History Game college fair, historical workshops & more.

Embracing Excellence Gala 

  • Saturday, January 19, 7 PM – 11:00 PM, Tickets are $75 and available at www.worldiniowa.org
  • Des Moines Iowa
  • An elegant evening fundraiser for the kicking off the festival with dinner, dancing, celebrity guest and heritage legacy awards.

  • Featuring art, history and cultural exhibits, celebrity headliners, wellness expo, soul food and a kid’s Carnival.
