AIt’s the Wobble 2.0. Attention Iowa college students, church member, sororities, fraternities, school groups, and individuals. Come show your Iowa pride! We need 3000 people at the Iowa Events Center at 1:30 PM! Everyone is welcome. Join I’ll Make Me a World in Iowa on January 25, 2020 at 1:30 PM as we attempt to break a world record!!! Yes that’s right, during Iowa’s African American Festival we will attempt to break the world record for the most people doing the Wobble dance at once. We tried this last year and were real close.
If your are familiar with the very popular line-dance called the Wobble then you should join us. If you are not familiar, below are links to instructional videos. Practice and join us. Please bring your friends. We can do this for Iowa. Register here.
What: An attempt to break a world record as documented by Guinness World Records. Our goal is to have 3000 people in one place all doing the Wobble Dance at the same time. We hope to have college students, church members, sororities, fraternities, civic & cultural groups, youth groups, school clubs, scouts, families, friends and everyone join us.
Who: I’ll Make Me a World in Iowa, Iowa’s African American Festival invites EVERYONE who can do the dance to join us for this spectacular attempt to break the record.
When: Saturday January 25, 2020. Sign in starts at 12 PM. We will begin lining up at 1 PM. The Wobble Challenge will begin at 1:30 PM. Also the festival is from 11 AM – 7 PM. Please stay as little or as long as you like.
Where: The Iowa Events Center’s Hy-Vee Hall 730 Third Street, Des Moines, IA 50309. Report to the Festival Wobble Registration Table
Admission: The event is free thanks to the support of our generous sponsors. Purchasing a T-Shirt is optional and may be done on the registration link.
